Note 1: Frank Richards [back to text]
The following Cassell titles are by another (unidentified) author who completed the novel Just Like Bunter which Hamilton had half-completed (around 23 chapters) before his death. According to Bryan Gentry of Cassell (cf Story Paper Collectorsí Digest 562, p19), all four of the titles below were based on scripts from the TV show (as were some of Hamiltonís own). In Story Paper Collectorsí Digest 561 (p19), Mark Taha makes the unsupported statement that "the last half of [Just Like Bunter] and the last four hardbacks were all written by G. R. Samways," although this is not mentioned by Samways in his autobiography (The Road to Greyfriars) or any of Samwaysí obituaries. Other readers disagree with this assessment and their true authorship remains a mystery.

Bunter the Stowaway (novelisation from teleplay), illustrated by C.H. Chapman. London, Cassell, Mar 1964
